After recording the podcast, host Tommy McDonald described Yasmeena Ali as a courageous person. “Before this podcast, I knew the Taliban denied girls access to education but I never really understood how that makes you a kind of prisoner," said McDonald.
A scared little girl, Yasmeena Ali, stood on the streets in Afghanistan's Kabul as the Taliban swept the city in the 1990s. After witnessing brutal violence against men and women in her homeland, she relocated to the United Kingdom at the age of nine where she immediately learned how to read and write.
Nearly 30 years later, the Taliban has regained power in her home country. Yasmeena, on the other hand, has her own power as she is known as the leading porn star from Afghanistan. In fact, the "feminist sex activist" believes she may be the "only one".
She abandoned her Islamic religious roots to become an atheist.

Yasmeena now believes that the Taliban will be able to learn about all her sexual exploits via websites like Pornhub and OnlyFans.
She told host Tommy McDonald on the 'I Hate Porn' podcast: “They are mostly hating my content because they don’t want Afghanistan to be known for porn."
“How dare I show my body? They think they own my body and what I do with my body and I have no right to show it and I can't be a true Afghan if I do this. I always get such messages like you are faking it, you are Jewish, you are undercover."
“I am an Afghan, so f******g what. Maybe there are Taliban out there who are watching my content who knows?"
“I am sure they have heard of me. I wouldn’t be surprised. Just write Afghan porn and you will find me. Just write those two words and you will see my name.”
On the podcast, she shared about how different her life was in Afghanistan, where her own mother told her that under the Taliban, "there was no such thing as rape".
She said: “I saw them and I remember the parade in Kabul. It was similar to what happened in the summer."
“I remember the feeling. I never forgot that feeling. I felt like I was somewhere else and I felt like I didn’t belong in that place. I felt really like, you feel like you are in a surreal world and you cannot relate to what is going on," dailystar.co.uk quoted Yasmeena as saying.

Yasmeena clarified that she was not just referring to violence against women, but also violence against young men who did not have a beard, as is required by Islam.
“There (Afghanistan), the people causing the violence are running the country. Who are you going to call? Do you want your hand chopped or not?”
As a child, Yasmeena was prevented from receiving an education until she moved to the UK at nine years old.
She went on to say the Taliban are scared of educating women. “All the rules are only for men's advantages and pleasure. If you are on your period you are considered unholy, dirty. Without women there would be no human race but they have a problem with female sexuality because they are afraid of losing control."
The whole idea is to control and subjugate women, and that is only possible if they are uneducated so they are following without question, explained Yasmeena.
She added that when you provide them (women) with education or resources, they will threaten the status quo and they (Taliban) don't want that in order to maintain their position of power.
“Those men love power. It is a barbaric caveman mentality. It is about power and the control you have over somebody.”
